August 2014

How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to venture and create Men of the Strip?

They were supportive!  The success that we had hosting the Chippendales served as a catalyst for Men of the Strip, so everyone knew where we were going with things next.

How did the idea for "Men of the Strip" come about?

Again, my experience with the Chippendales sort of sparked the idea for Men of the Strip.

With this show, and writing a book... how do you find time to pursue acting and your solo-singing careers?

I'm now beginning to focus on my true love and passion which is music.

What's a normal day like for you?

When I'm at home I hang out with my wife and kids during the day, then work on music from midnight on. When on the road, things are never predictable and always crazy.

What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?

My personal life is pretty uplifting, and professionally working with Mariah, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder is right up there.

Who inspires you?

Talented and spiritual people.

What aspects of your job do you like best/least?

Performing and making people smile is great.  There are some greedy and ugly aspects of the business that I never anticipated, but unfortunately come along with it.

What makes you happy?

My children and trying to get better every day.

What is your favourite song of all time?

"One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey & Boyz 2 Men

What are some of your favourite movies?

Shawshank Redemption, To Kill A Mockingbird, Indecent Proposal.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Sweets!

Describe yourself in 5 words:

Loyal, loving, learning, passionate, driven.

Which living person do you admire most?

My dad.

What do you most value in people?

Integrity and honesty.

What is your motto?

Dream big and don't believe when people tell you that your goals are impossible.

Any advice for men wanting to become the next stars of "Men of the Strip"?

Have a great personality.

You seem to be a great leader; you founded (or co-founded) 98 Degrees, and Men of the Strip; any advice for people wanting to develop their leadership skills?

Study folks that inspire: Richard Branson, Napoleon Hill, Oprah, Charles Hanaal, Paulo Coehlo, the list is endless.

Any last words?

Live with love.
