Pedro Smith

March 2016

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to go to the militar and become a pilot, like my father.

How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to be a model?

Well, it was not as straight as you are suggesting. I was in University and I started to do some random jobs as a model. Then I started to take it more seriously until the I got signed with a big agency.

How long have you been modelling for?

Professionally full time about 5-6 years

What has been your greatest accomplishment so far:

I haven’t worked for a top designer for a World Campaign. Nonetheless I have done underwear campaigns for HOM & some fashion campaigns for Beverly Hills Polo Club, El Corte Ingles, & Javier Arnaiz. Lots of other interesting and fun jobs, not necessarily for campaigns.

Who inspires you in the industry?

Honestly many people inspire me in life, personally and professionally but none from the fashion industry…

What aspects of your job do you like best/least?

The traveling part is what I like best, getting to live in different cities around the Globe and meeting extraordinary people.

I dislike the competitive cold side of it, & the unstability it creates in your life in terms on relationships.

Describe your style in terms of fashion:

I am very sporty casual when it comes to dressing on a daily basis. But I know how to dress in a proper suit and shirt when needed.

What makes you happy?

To hear childhood stories with friends.

What is your favourite song of all time?

I love The Beach Boys, my father used to play it when I was very young.

What are some of your favourite books?

I like one, unknown by most “20 Grandes Conspiraciones de la Historia” by Santiago Camacho.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Asking for back tickles from my girlfriend at all times.

What is the one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?

I'd rather not know about anything when I was younger, it's the best way to be happy!

Describe yourself in 5 words:

Friendly, athletic, perfectionist, optimistic, listener.

Which living person do you admire most?

My father

What do you most value in people?

Name 2 things people don't know about you:

(I'm) vengeful, and sneaky

What is your motto?

Enjoy the present, don’t wait until tomorrow.

What do you want to achieve in 2016?

In fashion: keep working like I have done it regularly, a few agency changes, & good opportunities to reach a bigger clients.

In my new business job: to continue to learn, and bring new projects. Most importanly, keeping up my motivation.

In general: Healthy and happy!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I am not sure where, hopefully Madrid with self-projects shared with friends and hard work behind.

Any advice for those wanting to become models?

Get a plan B even before you start to be able to enjoy the present.  That way, you can have something to fall back on if modeling goes wrong.

Any last words?

Help others, you will get more in return. Guaranteed
