What did you want to become when you were a child?
I wanted to be a football player at first, then a mechanical engineer. I have both as passions nowadays...
How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to be a model?
My friends and family supported me since the begining of my career. My mom has been my biggest supporter/fan since then despite that fact that she hates the feeling that the distance generates...
How long have you been modelling for?
I've been modeling for almost 11 years now, of which 9 of these abroad Brazil.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far:
Living 10 successful years away from my country must be the #1 accomplishment, workwise I'd say shooting Louis Vuitton with Gisele Bundchen and Dsquared2 with photographer Steven Meisel.
Who inspires you in the industry?
I'm usually inspired by well done photographs, which are necessarily shot by great photographers, with a big production team and maybe a good model at it... My favorite photographers are Steven Meisel, Mert & Marcus and Jacques Dequeker...
What aspects of your job do you like best/least?
Best - Get to travel, discover new places and cultures, meet amazing people.
Least - The distance from beloved people and the inconsistancy that the modeling career brings.
Describe your style in terms of fashion:
My style is simple, casual and functional. I'm a big shoe fan, such as leather boots and sneakers. A pair of jeans, a basic plain v-neck t-shirt and leather jackets are always in my suitcase.
What makes you happy?
Fun people, nature, a football, and good music...
What brings you the greatest satisfaction?
To know that I've given my best at something; at work, at sports, to people, and to life in general.
What is your favourite song at the moment, and of all time?
My favorite song at the time would be some old Bossa Nova (that I listen and get to know more every day), all time - maybe some Led Zeppeling song (such as "Rain Song" and "In My Time Of Dying").
What is the something you wish you knew when you were younger?
That there's no reason to rush or over-worry in life. Things are as they are, and you have to understand and learn what's the best way to deal with every situation.
What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
As of now = drink beers and be lazy on the weekends while watching Brazilian football on TV with friends.
