When did you find out you could make a career out of this passion of yours?
The day I graduated beauty school is the day I moved to LA and landed a job. The first day on the that job I knew I could do this forever.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?
It would be an even toss up between two things.
First, is having the opportunity to go back to the beauty school I went to @empirebeauty and share with them my vision board and the items I was able to check off my vision board.
Second, is funding 2 working well water projects for charity water in Africa.
Who inspires you in the industry?
I am always inspired by my fellow teammates. A few specific Hairstylists that inspire me are: Jen Atkin, serge Normant, and Heather chapman. I am also very inspired by the everyday hairdresser that shows up and runs a business filled with passion.
What aspects of your job do you like best/least?
What I like best is the connection to the human spirit. That every day I can touch another human spiritually, mentally and physically. I also love the fact that I get to travel for work.
What I like least is when hairstylists negatively critique another hairstylists work. I feel that art is interpretive, and I feel that supporting another's success will never damage yours.
Describe your style in terms of fashion?
My style is what I like to call hillbilly happiness, which is basically denim on denim. If the gap made a baby with country western wear it would be my style.
