How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to make a living as a hockey player?
I never had hockey as a solid plan to make a living, I always treated it as a lottery ticket that I hoped would work out but I never relied on it. Worked my ass off but too many things out of one's control to rely on it.

What has been your greatest accomplishment so far:
Winning the Stanley Cup is by far my greatest on ice accomplishment, taking advantage of my platform as a hockey player to do good in my community is my greatest off ice accomplishment in my hockey career.

What aspects of your job do you like best/least?
Best-The challenge of remaining elite by good nutrition/training/recovery etc. Love the challenge. Worst-The dead time involved with waiting for games, travelling etc.
Tell us about your involvement in the "rainbow tape" initiative:
Supporting a great initiative that allows teammates to show that they are allies of all of their teammates regardless of their sexual orientation. A good teammate is a good teammate, period. It is a wonderful way to have a visual representation of that support.
How do you bounce back from a personal defeat?
Turn the page, I don't dwell on negatives at all. If you constantly work on positive aspects of your life and do the right thing, you will have many more emotional victories than defeats.
