When you were a child, what is it you wanted to become?

That’s a very quick answer.  I wanted to become an actor.  A film actor to be precise.

How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to be an actor?

My family has always been very supportive of my dream and always tried to help me out wherever they could. I do think there was some helplessness, since none of my family members come from the film industry and therefor were very limited in what advice they could give me. But without their loving and unconditional support my journey would have been much harder than it already was.

What aspects of your job do you like best/least?

I love the collaboration (when it exists, it doesn’t always), creating together with others and seeing what we come up with. I simply love to play pretend.  On a good set I feel like a child that was given an awesome costume and amazing toys and is now allowed to play hard with his buddies.

When was the last time you laughed so hard/much that you ended up crying?

Well I’ll be very honest with you, when my girlfriend and I were outraged by the horrible gas we both produced after a vegetable couscous stew.

What serves as the greatest motivation for you in your daily life?

Inspiration. Wherever it comes from. Nature, a movie I just saw, a story i just heard, a beautiful moment I just witnessed, a great meal I tasted. Inspiration always fills me with joy and the motivation to do what I dream of doing.

What makes you happy?

Inspiration. It always comes down to that. If it’s in INSPIRED then anything brings me happiness. Acting/Writing/Conversations/being out in nature/ being active

What in life is important to you?

Community! In my job that means my collaborators and co-creators are the most important and cherished things to me. With them I have fun and we get to create something real that once was just thought. Many minds create something that could never be created alone. In my private life it’s my family, friends and the community i live in. I enjoy engaging and playing with my community.

How do you define success?

Success to me is to call into reality the ideas and dreams from my mind and do it with the least amount of struggle possible.

What is your biggest vice?

Mmmmhhh…I don’t know about vice but my biggest issue is trust.  To let go and trust.   But i’m working on it daily.

How do you bounce back after a personal defeat?

I search for the lesson in the defeat and try to let it teach me something I would have never know without it.  It helps define what I DO want.

Describe yourself in five words:

Passionate - stubborn - excitable - compassionate - idealistic

What, if anything, do you regret?

I don’t.

How do you handle criticism when it comes your way?

I listen. I really value criticism, cause it’s such a wonderful tool to better yourself. But I try to make sure to only listen to constructive criticism.

What do you most value in people?

Authenticity. Honesty and truth. I admire people that show up 100 percent as who they are. It requires a fearlessness I admire and want to emulate.

Name two things people don't know about you:

I’ve struggled with body image issues for a long time. The pressure of the entertainment industry and the idea of the perfect male hero body has really had a big impact on me. My life evolved around my body and its appearance for a very long time. It’s a sickness I wish was more talked about when it comes to men. I’ve joined OA meetings in the past and have been much better for many years. But I think it’s something I’ll always battle.

Do you have a motto in life / if so, what is it?

Build your life consciously.  Select each building block with only one question in mind “does this bring me joy?"

What one thing do you wish to see achieved in the next couple of years?

I would love love to put together a film with friends and like minded creators that gets a theatrical release and manages to find it’s audience.

Any advice for those wanting to become actors/actresses?

Yes and I hope they believe me. Give up the struggle. Choose to live a fulfilling life that fills you with joy. Make up your own mind of what it means to be an actor/actress. You don’t need anyone’s approval or confirmation to be an actor. Create your own movies, there are so many platforms and ways to make films that you can do it by yourself and with a community that you create, weather that’s Hollywood or not.

Any last words?

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts with you and your followers. I wish you all fulfillment and a joyful life.
