The Bold & The Beautiful, Zoe Ever After, The Guiding Light

As a child, what did you dream of becoming when you grew up?

As a kid I wanted to be a cop. I loved superheroes so I guess a cop was the closest thing. I realized as an adult that as a kid I only knew about cops from what I saw in movies. So I think that I really just wanted to play a cop in a T.V show or movie, but didn't really know it yet.

How did your friends/family react when you told them you wanted to be a actor?

There was a lot of support. I made the decision at 18 years old, so there was a lot of shock, and my parents definitely wanted me to have something to fall back on. But they always taught me to pursue my dreams.

How long have you been acting for?

For about ten years now, I started when I graduated from college in 2006 where I studied acting.

Who inspires you in the industry?

So many artist for different reasons, Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Quentin Tarantino, Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Shonda Rhimes. There are really too many to list. I get inspired by just about anyone who creates art.

What aspects of your job do you like best/least?

I love the cast, crew, and our production team. We get along so great, and It's a lot fun creating with such talented artists. I guess the only thing I like the least is how fast we shoot. It's the nature of daytime, but I do wish we could slow down a little.

Who, on Bold & Beautiful, would you like to have (more) scenes with?

I would love to have more scenes with Jacqueline (Steffy), I think Carter and Steffy could be a lot of fun.

What has been one of your most memorable fan encounters?

When I was on Guiding Light we launched a ''Find Your Light'' campaign where we built homes for the homeless with our fans. That was an amazing experience.

How do you bounce back from a personal defeat?

I guess I don't really count anything as defeat. It's all a learning process. We encounter conflict so we can learn, and be better tomorrow.

What is the one thing you wish you had known when you were younger?

Something I'm still trying to learn today. To slow down and smell the roses. Stop worrying and enjoy every moment.

What makes you happy?

My family. I love my family.
